Municipality of Kincardine senior staff met this morning and have clarified what can be done at the marina in light of Premier Ford’s announcement of May 1st.
As per the Friday announcement, the marina will remain closed to the public. As per the meeting this morning, this includes work on boat preparation. We will be following up with the Municipality later this week to press for a path forward for boat preparation.
Marina staff will be permitted to work at preparations for reopening the marina. This will include work on restoring the water supply, work on preparing the docks, and work on the boat launch, to name a few, so that the marina will be able to be opened in a timely matter when restrictions for public access are relaxed. Staff will be required to practice physical distancing, not congregate in groups of more than five, and follow proper health and safety guidelines.
As further information becomes available, it will be posted on the website.
Remain patient, and stay healthy and safe.
