The Kincardine's harbour is half way between Sarnia and the North Channel. Due to its location well out into Lake Huron, a boater can save up to 20 miles on a trip to Tobermory - a significant savings in fuel.
No boat has ever been turned away from Kincardine, even 70 footers have been known to find safe haven at the harbour when Lake Huron's waves became too wild. The harbour is open 24 hours a day and has over the years become a haven of refuge for weary boaters. While at the harbour visit the marine museum, take a romantic walk on the boardwalk, watch the magnificent sunset and listen to the Phantom Piper pipe down the sun from atop the lighthouse.
The harbour has room for over 150 boats. Sixty boat slips are on floating docks. There are 15 slips reserved for visiting boats, plus others when a seasonal boater is away. The floating docks have made it exceptionally easy for people with mobility problems to get in and out of their boats.
With its close proximity to Kincardine's downtown, boaters can walk to the grocery store, laundromat and restaurants. In addition, for those longer jaunts, bicycles are available at the Marina Office.
