This year’s Lift-Out will take place on Saturday Oct 14th, starting at 8:00am.
As per previous years, 2 cranes will be in operation, with all boats requiring lift-out being lifted on that day.
Due to expected dredging and fuel tank replacements in the Fall 2023/Spring 2024 (either activity requiring access to the marina office laneway), boats normally stored on the East Wall will be stored on the North Wall and South Parking Lot this year.
If You Need Lifting Out by Crane
If you were lifted out by KYC last year, you will receive a Lift Request email which you can submit to book your lift.
If you were not lift out by KYC last year and expect to require a lift this year, please send an email specifying your contact info, boat and cradle details by sending an email to: Lifts@kyc.ca
If Necessary: Inclement Weather Fallback Date
In the event of inclement weather (e.g. high winds or excessive rain) being predicted for Saturday Oct 14th, liftout will be rescheduled to Sunday Oct 15th. Rescheduling would be communicated by email to all lift clients and posted on this website (this could occur late in the eventing of Fri Oct 13th or early in the morning of Sat Oct 14th as we would be monitoring the latest weather forecasts). Please check your emails or this website if weather appears uncertain leading into Sat Oct 14th.
Cradles Moved Sat Sept 30th
Cradles will be transferred from KYC Cradle Yard to their Assigned Storage Locations at the marina on Sat Sept 30th (foul weather date Sun Oct 1st).
Lift Plan
The Lift Plan (lift details and winter storage locations) will be communicated to Lift Clients via email after Lift Requests are received.
Crade Crews and Lift Crews
KYC Members will receive Lift Crew and Cradle Crew invitations via email.
